Legion of Mary | Resources Page | Retun to Allocutios page |
The allocutio was given by Br. Dennis Monroe. We have all experienced times at work where members do not treat each other with charity. We must make sure to treat each other with respect and give of ourselves. We should be mindful that if we do not have anything nice to say, we should keep quiet. Br. Duff reminds us that petty jealousies can be detrimental and that we need to break them through the introduction of Christian love. It can be difficult, but is necessary for a healthy Legion. The Legion must keep growing or it will experience the erosion that the Catholic Church is going through in many areas of this country. The Boston Senatus has been losing members due to their inability to attract new members. The only way to keep that from happening is to keep recruiting and extending.
